a)     What is in the route table?

c)     What is the default gateway?

d)     What is the MAC address for wopr.csl.mtu.edu’s default gateway?

e)     What is 169.254.0.0 in the routing table?

f)      What is the MAC address for guardian.csl.mtu.edu? What is the vendor for the NIC?

 

2.     (20 points) The network 134.122.0.0/16 has been subdivided into /19 networks.

a)     How many networks are there? List them. What is their netmask?

b)     How many hosts could there be on each network?

c)     Determine which network the address 134.122.67.124 belongs to.

d)     What is the broadcast address for each network?

 

 

3.     (30 points) Sysadmin Lab network address allocation plan

            In this question, you are asked to work out the network address allocation plan for the sysadmin lab that you are using. Here are the requirements:

 

1)     List the network address (using prefix length notation), host address range, for CS4481 PCs and all 10 student groups clearly.

 

2)     Draw a topology to show how all the components (routers, installation servers, printers, switches, PCs for cs4481, subnets of the student groups for CS4451) will be connected. Denote the topology with IP addresses for each component. For subnet, using the network number.
